1st Stepping Stones Nursery provides full day care for children on a full-time or part-time basis. We are open from 8.00 a.m.to 6.00 p.m. Monday to Friday. The nursery is open throughout the year, except bank holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year.
We operate as one Montessori room which is carefully designed, well laid out and resourced to meet the needs of individual children. We have a section for each of the seven areas of learning to promote learning and development. The outdoor area is designed to enhance and stimulate children’s development offering learning opportunities across all areas of the curriculum.
1st Stepping Stones Nursery runs a holiday club during all school holidays. Activities and outings are planned for children to meet their interest and children play an important role in this planning.
Each child has an ‘Achievement Book’ where they can write about the activities they have participated in. The ‘Achievement Book’ is shared with parent/carers at the end of every holiday period. Places in the holiday club are limited and can be booked termly.
The provision is registered on the Early Years Register and both the compulsory and voluntary parts of the Childcare Register.
